University of Georgia Invitational — Forensics

Kaidou, a student of PK Academy, went to school the morning of the crime as usual and hung out with his friends after school. It was a chilly November day, so he, Saiki, Nendou, Teruhashi, and Kuboyasu went to a local ramen shop for food, then hung out at the park for a few hours before going their separate ways home. That night, as Kaidou slept, someone stole his red arm wraps! Kaidou wears these arm wraps all day "to keep his secret powers under control." He only removes them at night while he sleeps and leaves them right next to him on his bedside table. The only people who know this are his four so-called friends, meaning one of them must be an agent for Dark Reunion! Help Detective Kaidou weed out the Dark Reunion mole amongst his friend group and get his red arm wraps back!

Victim: Kaidou

The victim of this villainous crime is Kaidou Shun, year three at PK Academy. The night of the crime, Kaidou had come home with an upset stomach from eating too much ramen. His mother had given him some alka-seltzer and sent him to bed. He changed out of his cotton school uniform and wool coat, removed his arm wraps and set them on his nightstand, then went to bed. When he woke up the next day, his arm wraps were missing, and his room was messy. Whoever did this terrible crime had left several clues behind in the form of mysterious powders, fabrics, plastics, and hairs. After further investigation, Detective Kaidou found two fingerprints on his bedside table and a footprint outside his house. There were also a few drops of blood in his bathroom. Kaidou's blood type is A+. The following were found at the crime scene: Powder S1, Powder S2, Hair S1, Hair S2, Fiber S1, Fiber S2, and Plastic S1.

Suspect #1: Saiki

When asked about the arm wrap's disappearance, Saiki shrugged and tried to walk away as if he did not care. After being chased down by Detective Kaidou, Saiki claimed he "doesn't know where Kaidou put his stupid armbands", which is definitely something someone in Dark Reunion would say. Saiki claims he was helping his mother replant her garden last night, and after he finished she bought him a coffee jelly cup, which he ate then went to bed. Saiki wears the same cotton school uniform as Kaidou. After some harassment, Kaidou found Saiki's blood type to be O-. The following were found on Saiki: Powder B, Hair B, Fiber C, and Plastic A.

Suspect #2: Nendou

When Nendou was questioned about the arm wrap's disappearance he immediately knew what Kaidou was talking about. "Oh, those red things on your arms… Hey! They're gone!?!" Nendou was also not very helpful. "You gotta be more careful buddy." Nendou says walking home yesterday he was eating a bag of his favorite chips when a squirrel stole one. He chased the squirrel down the road, retrieving his chip eventually. After getting lost for a while he eventually wandered home. He was wearing his cotton school uniform and a polyester jacket and his blood type is B-. The following were found on Nendou: Powder C, Hair C, Fiber D, and Plastic B.

Suspect #3: Teruhashi

After working up the courage to speak to Teruhashi alone, she also has no idea about his arm wraps. "Oh, those red bands you wear on your arms? You lost them? I can help you find them Kaidou! Will Saiki be helping to look also?" Yesterday night, Teruhashi said she baked a cake for someone but would not say who. Afterwards, she took a bath with some bath salts and finished off her favorite shampoo. That day she was wearing her cotton school uniform with a silk scarf. Her blood type is AB+. The following were found on Teruhashi: Powder D, Powder E, and Plastic C.

Suspect #4: Kuboyasu

When Kaidou asked Kuboyasu about his whereabouts the night before, he got an interesting story told as if it was a regular night. "Last night when I got home I had to clear the bats out from under the front porch. Then I killed some cockroaches with that good insecticide I told you about, remember? After that, I worked on my motorcycle a bit, grabbed a soda from the fridge, and went to bed." That night Kuboyasu was wearing his cotton school uniform and a nylon windbreaker. His blood type is O+. The following were found on Kuboyasu: Powder F, Hair A, Fiber A, and Plastic D.
