Where do the questions come from?

Our questions are sourced from real Science Olympiad tests and resources, ensuring a comprehensive and diverse question bank. We only use publicly released tests and those given via special permission for use on our platform.

How is AI being used?

LLMs are primarily used in Scio.ly for grading free response, providing explanations, and processing reports, as well as implementation for some parts of this site. All questions are from real Science Olympiad tests.

Is this an official practice platform?

Scio.ly is an initiative in partnership with SoCal Science Olympiad, but it is not endorsed by Science Olympiad Inc. Our platform provides practice materials based on past exams but we do not make any guarantees about content on future exams.

Who uses Scio.ly?

This season, we had 56 thousand cumulative users, with an average session duration of about 8 minutes. 98% of these users were from the United States, of which all 50 states were represented. All analytics data is taken from Google Analytics 4.
